ROLL UP! ROLL UP!
LOOK! COME! SEE!

The many-varied & multi-talented artists form the Arches Studios, down
in the Old Cattle Market, are bringing their wares to the People!
That’s right Folks, for one month only, all through December,
Southampton’s finest aesthetes are opening up a new kind of shop,
called The Arches Bizarre, on the ground floor of the Bargate Shopping
Centre. From button badges to vast masterpieces! From the lowly chap-
book to the one-off sculpture! From a humble T-shirt to exquisitely
knitted mannequins! It’s all going to be right here, on your doorstep.
And keep your eyes peeled for the odd Puppet Show, a random Busker or
two, & impromptu workshops & happenings of all shapes & sizes. Rubbing
shoulders with the Arches great & good are our two ladies of the
aprons, Red Hot Press, & the talents of tomorrow will also be there,
courtesy of the Illustration students fundraising for their degree
show at Solent University.
Our Grand Opening is not to be missed, on the 27th of November, 6-4pm.
This exciting event will get off to a leviathan style bang, courtesy
of one of the city’s famous authors, Mr Philip Hoare! So pop along for
a glass of something & a mince pie, & a chance to be the first to
purchase that perfect xmas gift.

STEP INSIDE!
A LITTLE BIT OF THIS & A LITTLE BIT OF THAT, HO! HO!

The Nova Bros' hit the Isle of Wight Festival 2010

Myself and the main man Matt worked the Kashmir Cafe organised by Quay Arts @ the Isle of Wight Festival last week and had the best 5 days in living memory, we even managed to get on stage with Whisky River and play the bongos!
There may be a (very) slim chance of me and Matt returning to the stage next year playing acoustic covers of death metal classics... you heard it here first...
Big love to Jo, Mick, Peter, Mike, Whisky River, Doug the bear, the Doctor, Yates brewery, Duncan & Lee, Laura & the fairy crew, cousin no.1, the dream team, Quay Arts and the Island x

Turner Sims concert hall

The number of musicians & artists who died at 27 is truly remarkable by any standard (although) humans die regularly at all ages, there is a statistical spike for creatives who die at 27.
